Alexander Sobol began creating art at the age of thirty and decided to pursue a career in photography in 2009. The images that he creates under his photograph persona, Sasha S, capture the naked body in a way that showcases the curves in natural surroundings. His images highlight the naked human figure juxtaposed against interesting landscapes and panoramas. Nature offers an excellent backdrop that exalts the nude form in most photographs. He prefers to shoot outdoors rather than inside a studio, where there is a limitation of getting undisturbed and ethereal backdrops.
Sasha S considers the nude art genre one of the purest forms of art. One of the reasons he stays away from creating hypersexualized images and rather focuses on images that highlight the natural beauty of the body. Moreover, he is interested in the stark contrast created by light and shadow and how they project on a nude form acting as a canvas.
